Ayaş
A historic Silk Road town famous for its healing thermal springs, historic Ottoman houses, scenic vineyards, and world-renowned Ayaş tomatoes.
Situated 55 km from Ankara, Ayaş is an established healing hub thanks to the Karakaya Thermal Spring in the town centre and the mineral-rich Ayaş Drinking Springs located 23 km to the west.
The lush vineyards of Karadere, Ova, Arıklar, and Kirazdibi, along with its mineral springs, form the district's exceptional natural landscape. Ayaş hosts an annual Mulberry Festival (Dut Festivali), and its juicy, thin-skinned Ayaş tomatoes are celebrated nationwide.
Resting directly on the ancient Silk Road route, Ayaş features well-preserved traditional wooden Ottoman residential architecture alongside fertile agricultural valleys.
