Ankara State Art and Sculpture Museum

Housed in the magnificent 1930 Türk Ocağı building, displaying Turkey's premier national collection of paintings and sculptures from Osman Hamdi Bey to modern masters.

Situated adjacent to the Ethnography Museum on Namazgâh Hill, this palatial edifice was designed by Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu between 1927 and 1930 as the headquarters of the Turkish Hearths (Türk Ocakları).

Featuring an opulent rosewood-paneled concert auditorium and Ottoman Revival stone craftsmanship, the museum preserves seminal masterpieces of Turkish visual art by masters including Osman Hamdi Bey, Şeker Ahmet Pasha, Hoca Ali Rıza, and İbrahim Çallı.
