About this part of the city

Şengül Bath

Late 15th-century historic double bathhouse situated at the entrance of the restored Hamamönü quarter.

Standing on Denizciler Avenue at the gateway to Hamamönü in Altındağ, Şengül Bath was constructed in the late 15th century under the charitable foundation of Grand Vizier İshak Pasha.

Faithfully restored and continuing its centuries-old bathing service with separate men’s and women’s sections, it is an essential part of Hamamönü’s living heritage.
