Mithat Paşa Monument
Statue in Ulus honoring Mithat Pasha, founder of the Agricultural Credit Funds ('Memleket Sandıkları') that gave birth to Ziraat Bank.
Standing in the front court of the historic Ziraat Bank Headquarters in Ulus, this bronze statue was sculpted in 1966 by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Gezer.
It depicts Ottoman reformist statesman Mithat Pasha, who established the agricultural cooperative funds in 1863 that evolved into Ziraat Bank.
