Kızılcahamam
The premier thermal and nature resort of Ankara, celebrated for Soğuksu National Park, mineral water springs, and artisan bazlama flatbread.
Situated 83 km north of Ankara along the highway to Istanbul, Kızılcahamam is a nationally renowned spa resort famous for its mineral springs and therapeutic thermal baths. The district centre offers both historic municipal thermal baths (Büyük and Küçük Kaplıca) and modern thermal wellness resorts.
Located 16 km from the town centre near Güvem is the historic Sey Hamamı thermal spring. Soğuksu National Park, cloaked in ancient black pine forests, serves as a pristine eco-tourism haven and a vital breeding sanctuary for the rare Eurasian black vulture.
The district annually hosts the vibrant Soğuksu Festival and traditional Çorak Fair. Geographically registered Kızılcahamam Bazlama (wood-fired artisan flatbread) and wild pine blossom colognes are cherished local signatures.
