Cenab-ı Ahmet Paşa Mosque
The only mosque in Ankara designed by imperial architect Mimar Sinan (1565), built of fine red Ankara stone with a single monumental dome.
Located on Ulucanlar Avenue in Altındağ, commissioned in 1565 by Ottoman Governor-General Cenab-ı Ahmet Pasha and designed by master architect Mimar Sinan.
Constructed from dressed red andesite stone, this classical single-domed masterpiece features fine white marble mihrab craftsmanship and the 16-sided octagonal tomb of Cenab-ı Ahmet Pasha in the serene courtyard garden.
