Located 165 km west of Ankara in Nallıhan on the Sakarya River, completed in 1956 as one of Turkey's pioneering major hydroelectric dams.
Surrounded by steep canyon walls, the reservoir hosts boat tours exploring submerged archaeological ruins and rich aquatic wildlife.
